Great listen Brett. I think as humans we are social creatures, and always have a longing for connection, so another thing I considered when listening was that we all have an innate desire to want to ‘fit in’ & we usually have a crowd or profession that we long to be included in. Therefore, when receiving a message or information perhaps we are more inclined to think well if I can’t ‘fit in’ with them (maybe they’re in a job you want or have a reputation you desire, whatever it might be), then the next best thing is to agree with their thoughts, philosophies, whatever, because then that way I can attach myself or associate myself with not only that person, but the position they hold, reputation they have, etc. It’s like trying to ‘fit in’ with the ‘it’ crowd or cool kids at school – if I can be associated with them then it instantly raises my stock.
Just my thoughts, once again great listen – and thank you for the valuable and unique content / resources you are providing.
